Metallic expansion joints

The basic element of an expansion joint is the annular corrugated metal bellows from a lengthwise welded tube or a tube without seams, in constructions of one or of several waves of different thicknesses. Designed and manufactured in accordance with the design data and the different standards.

Materials

The bellows and the bushings are mainly made from austenitic stainless steel (Series 300 and 400) and special alloys (Alloy 600, 625, 800, 800HT, 825, 400, Hastelloy B&C, C22, C276, Nickel 200, Duplex and Superduplex). The end connections are mainly supplied in carbon steel, stainless steel or other low-demand materials or the customer’s preference.

Flanges, ends for welding, threaded ends, highlifter joints, etc.

Accessories

External and internal bushings, covers, purge connections, movement controlled braces, reinforcement rings, highlifter joints, insulation for the bellows, etc.

Service

  • Range of temperatures: -30ºC up to 1,200ºC.
  • Pressure: PN (from empty) 1 – 2.5 – 6 – 10 – 16 – 25 – 40 – 64 and 100 bar.
  • Duration: 1,000 cycles, 5,000, 10,000, 50,000 …
  • Fluids: water, air, exhaust gases, steam, mineral oil, petroleum-based combustible liquids, petroleum-based liquid gases, etc.

 

Certified under the ISO 9001:2008 standard and the 2014/68/UE Directive, CODINOR guarantees the traceability of the product with quality certificates. Depending on the customer’s requirements, the products may be accredited by Bureau Veritas, Det Norske Veritas, Lloyd’s Register, Tüv, and others.
